For all those Abba fans out there, this is the book launch for you. ABBA: LET THE MUSIC SPEAK by Chris Patrick is the result of a lifelong passion for both ABBA and a musical career as a professional cellist and arranger. Chris, a professional cellist, is a member of the Queensland Pops Orchestra and is currently performing in ABBAMANIA at Jupiters Casino.
Chris has created this guide to ABBA’s soundscape: the vocal and keyboard genius and precision audio engineering which continue to defy truly successful emulation to this day. No previous experience is necessary for readers of all types to enjoy the tour – this book has been carefully crafted to appeal to the interested general reader as well as to ABBA fans and serious musicians alike.
With the book released just one week ago, Chris has already completed live interviews with Spencer Howson on ABC 6.12, where he has been asked to return and discuss all eight ABBA albums, an interview with Howard Ainsworth of 4MBS and numerous interviews for the print media.
Chris is a local resident and has lent his support to many local events such as “Opera on the Mountain”. So come along – have some fun and support one of our very talented locals.
