“Carnival” – Ceramic Sculptures by Monte Lupo Artists

Monte Lupo is part of Multicap, a statewide non-profit organisation established in 1962 that provides creative support options and services for people with multiple disabilities. Monte Lupo offers a program for adults with disabilities who are enthusiastic about working toward becoming professional artists.

Many of the Monte Lupo artists are actively involved in displaying their work through exhibitions, competitions and art awards. Numerous public commissions by Brisbane and Gold Coast City Councils have brought the work of Monte Lupo to an increasingly appreciative audience.
Each artist has developed a distinct individual naive style that is inspiring and exciting and together they have produced large collaborative sculptures for the outdoors. This exhibition will be a visual feast of colour and imagery.

The name Monte Lupo was taken from a small pottery village nestled in the hills of Tuscany called Monte Lupo Forentina. It is renowned for the use of bright, exciting colors and design and often many artists contribute to each piece of work, utilising the strengths of each individual artist.
